Man WS left off on a big note and I was so scared that I'd hate AWTWB bc tbh I didn't like WS :/ but oh my god I loved it a lot! Not as much as Carry On but agh I just loved so many parts of it!

I loved all of Penny and Shepards parts along with Agathas I felt every side characters story was really well developed and I loved the wacky stuff Shepard got himself into omg the humour with him and Penny was just 👌🏻
Also SOFT  BAZ 🙏🏻 I loved him in this book (I mean I love him in any book buut).. to an extent 🙂

It's not Baz who I didn't like it's everyone else I felt like there wasn't enough Baz alone moments. I wish there was more of him thinking about something other than simon. It feels like he's just there to build Simons character without being developed himself, unlike in CO. I wish Rainbow wasn't so avoidant of his trauma :/ Overall there's a LOT to unpack about Baz and how hes written. If you want an amazing rewrite of Carry On focused more on his trauma I 100% reccomed Philaetos' Wondrous and Mystical on Archive of Our Own. RANT OVER.

And Simon <3 I felt like I understood Simon way more in this one than WS I finally saw how he thought and it was low key relatable 😶. I loved him again in this one and there was so many sweet moments with him that just made me SOB bc him, and Baz, deserve the world <3

I loved how this felt more like CO than WS did it was back to the crazy stories and adventures along with more communication between characters! The plot was strong to start but the climax was too fast. Overall the pacing wasn't the best I feel like parts of the ending should have been in the middle of the book

Overall I liked how long this one was there was a lot of the side characters and it was really easy to get into! I feel like Rainbow's writing makes fantasy so fun to read. While the ending was good I'm upset it's ended. I'll forever think of this series and what it means to me <3
