Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
5.0

The series is really picking up now. This book has topped all that has come before it.

I loved the multi POV even though I want to scream when I turn the page and we've moved from a character I was being obsessed with. Stop playing with me like that SJM.

My girl Celaena is now my Queen Aelin and yes girl it was so very earned! The power, the heart, the grit. I'm here for it.

Loving the introduction of Rowan. His coming to understand her and the transition to protection and loyalty was subtle and not overstated with grand gestures along the way. I enjoyed that.

Aedion was another interesting introduction. I'm curious about him and I have some big feelings but I'm not sure I've decided what it all means. His steadfast loyalty and the punishment he's put on himself those 10 long years, I want so badly for him to be able to stand at his Queen's back and know it was worth it. We left him being led into the dark and my heart aches over it.

Our boys Chaol and Dorian are following their own paths on this one. Hate that for them, but proud to see them actually growing.

And my great new loves. Manon, the Thirteen, and sweet angel baby Abraxos? Poor husband attempted to ask me questions during one of their chapters only to be greeted with "I can't talk now, we're in the middle of war games!!!" Sorry my love, but one must concentrate while riding a wyvern! The love and loyalty of my squad is just so beautiful, and I'm excited for them to understand that their sisterhood defies all they have been taught.

This ride is wild, I'm here for it.
