A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara

5.0

"He wore his life on his skin, his biography was written in his flesh and on his bones"
I didn't experience a single moment of happiness reading this book. When something mildly good would happen, ten bad things would follow.
It's a beautifully haunting story about friendship, loneliness, and life. Each character has a distinctive voice and the author makes you care about them (which leaves you crying at 1 am).
