I love small town romances where everybody knows everybody’s business. Tanner was a single father at a young age and he raised his son alone in the town of Whisper. He loves his town and owns pretty much all of it. He’s part country, part city with his jet plane and Rolex watches. Now the neighboring land was all but his until the owner died and left it to her niece Victoria. Victoria had just broken her engagement and wanted to leave NY and start over. Victoria was really into home design and interior decor so she sees this big house and land and sees this great opportunity. Initially they get off to a bad start with Tanner pretty much telling her she will never last and she better take the money. As time goes on they come to an agreement and of course romance and attraction grows. I enjoyed this story with our secondary characters especially Tanner’s son. Not only is this an age gap, small town romance but there is a mystery. This story was engaging and sweet with some spicy moments. A very enjoyable read.
