This book is a hot ass mess.
I think one of the most amazing things about Jessa's writing is how deep and personal the internal dialogues of her characters are. But when she not only has to do that but also world build, she falls short... like reeeeeally short.
I feel like with this book she bit off more than she could chew so the story, world, and characters all came out half-baked. I've never had to struggle through a JH book like I struggled to get through the first 100 pages of this one. I just can't get over how sloppy this book was.
