I was so excited to read L.E. Van Veen's debut, and it did not disappoint! The fantasy world is rich and complex, feeling like you're really transported to another world. There were twists and turns I didn't expect but pleasantly surprised me all the same. I was sad to leave the world of Talam when I finished, and I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel!
