I really enjoyed this book from H.D. Carlton, I just felt like the timeline was too short for me. Like obviously there’s a Trauma Bond but going from hating each other to being in love in less than a month is wild. Regardless of that though, I loved this story and some of the messages. I loved Sawyer and her story and strength and I think the message we get from Enzo saying that abuse victims don’t get the justice they deserve in America when it comes to them having to defend themselves. And gosh I felt so bad for Kacey, what Sylvester did to her was insane and so fucked up, my heart hurt for her. Now I had figured out that twist pretty early on given the fact that we were set up to not trust Sylvester but I didn’t think the abuse went as far as it did. And I loved Simon, he was the best side character!
