I didn’t really go into this with any expectations but apparently my lack of expectations had expectations, because this is NOT what I thought it was going to be.
It’s very brutal. But there’s something about the characters that I loved, despite their difficulty to fall I love with them as I usually I do in a story. Jude’s unapologetic exploration of power seeking is amazing, and I like that we see her stumbles and how infallible she is overall. And then maybe, the consequence of seeking such power as she did.
Also….Jude and Cardan are Dramione vibes, thank you very much.
