this book was just so freaking slow and did not speed up until the last one hundred pages. i swear half of this could have been cut. also akiva IS SO ANNOYING. and this romance is not that great. lastly there is a very graphics sexual assault scene that is so very unnecessary to the plot and could have very easily have been a combat scene perhaps or literally anything else. plus no content warning at the beginning.
