I did love the cast of characters, found family, finding yourself, and not judging others until you know the full story. That being said it did remind me why I took a pause in reading Glines, the character's hyper focus of their flaws, I heard the word pale, so many times, I was was coming up with synonyms myself. I also think it is a harmful to to have a character being the product of a teen parent, though she may not have known her other parent. The lack of protection, period, can lead to a baby. Up to the age of 21 and getting pregnant being a child of a teen parent means repeating the cycle statistically.
Now I hope to believe that readers have their own minds to not being influenced in their own sex lives, but it is still concerning that it may perpetuate a stereotype.
