Mr. S: My Life with Frank Sinatra by William Stadiem, George Jacobs

2.0

This was a big disappointment. I knew that Frank Sinatra was no saint, but I wanted to get some feel for his life and a sense of the people and culture that defined that era. Instead, I got a 250 page sensational, tabloid-style "tell-all" that largely focused on the sexual exploits of Frank and every major celebrity of his time. It was pretty empty, in terms of writing or insight into the man. I was expecting more from someone who spent so much time with him. I was looking to see more insight into the shared human experience. Oh well.
