I did enjoy the first two books but I feel like this one took on a whole new world almost. The fates in the first two books just seemed like a fun addition to the world that maybe needed a spin off, but to focus on them made it feel like there was so much missing. I liked the idea, but I really feel like it could have been done better. It focused to much on Tella (honestly pretty boring and predictable love life) and spent almost zero time on what felt like the bulk of the book could have focused on: scarlet being basically a prisoner the fallen star. I guess it is a YA book so I may be holding it to a higher standard, but it was just disappointing after the first two which I flew through!
