This was my first Meghan Quinn book, and now I am ADDICTED! If you haven’t read this please please start this series. This was definitely moved from 4 to 5 stars because of the cast of characters. I don’t think it would have been the same without them. I enjoyed how Pacey and Winnie’s relationship grew. It felt genuine. I LOVED the banter, and the spice was top notch in my opinion.

Pacey Laws and his teammates spend every off season in Banff at Taters (another teammate) to unwind. It’s always a bro time. No girls have been to this cabin until the night that a random hottie shows up at their door on the night of a massive thunderstorm. Her car got stuck in the road. She doesn’t have cell service and is hoping to call a tow to get back. Obviously that doesn’t happen because there is no cell service (of course) and the roads are too bad for the tow. The guys convince her to stay the night. Pacey thinks he recognizes her, but when she introduces herself he can’t put his finger on it. He thinks he would remember the name Winnie. Pacey has always been a bit awkward around girls. He never feels like he knows what to say so he has put all of his focus on his career, but he finds himself intrigued by this beauty who came out of nowhere. This beauty who is being cagey about why she is really here. This beauty who he knows he knows but can’t figure out why. This beauty who he realllly clicks with after she decides to stay at the cabin until the roads are cleared. It finally clicks that Winnie is his half brother’s girlfriend. Does he tell her? NO he doesn’t because he wants to see where this thing goes.

Winnie is on a bit of a mission. She has no plan literally so the curveball of ending up in a cabin with five professional hockey players while strange doesn’t affect her terribly. Their looks affect her. Especially the quiet, cute one with the man bun- Pacey is his name. She also meets Eli Hornsby (AKA Horny), Posey (bologna man), Holmes (antisocial reader), and Taters (top tier jerk at first). She feels as though she is intruding but the guys insist- she is staying until she can get her car out. Which goes from a few days to a whole week. During this time, her and Pacey have found themselves in some comfortable uncomfortable situations like that Jenna game with questions…and the date in Banff that wasn’t a date. She finds herself opening up to him and slowly starting to trust him with what she is really doing here. She also realizes that she is comfortable seeing where this thing goes with her and Pacey. That is until she finds out what he held back from telling her. Will he earn her trust back? Will he really wait for her like he says?

Yall I LOVED this book. As I said banter was great. Spice was great. The characters and what they added to the book just was the icing on the cake. I can’t WAIT to see who they all end up with starting with Eli aka Horny who ends up with Pacey’s sister?! Can’t wait to hear that one. I am holding out hope that Max and Ian will have a story too 🤞🏻 Hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. Any suggestions similar to this would be much appreciated :)
