I adored this book. It’s quick, low-spice (just one brief scene), and utterly enchanting. The vibes gave me shades of "One Dark Window" or "Belladonna". A gothic-leaning fantasy world that feels just one step removed from our own. Book one offers a perfect taste of the broader magic to come, while still delivering a complete, satisfying story wrapped up with a little swoony bow.
Although it’s part of a trilogy, each book follows a different sister in her own independent tale along the same timeline, making them perfect standalones or palate cleansers between heavier reads. If you love gothic fantasy but prefer it light, fun, and charming rather than heavy or grim, I can’t recommend this one enough.
