The drawback to my D100 project is exactly this. It has been almost a year since I first read Red Rising, and absolutely loved it. Well, I finally rolled for Golden Son, and it is just as good. Darrow is an incredible protagonist, though a BIT frustratingly omniscient and effectively immortal, but that makes him no different than a Rand Al’Thor. In GS, the supporting cast of characters is so well fleshed out, that I felt I understood each and every one, and their attitudes and emotions. Then, that ending, so devastatingly perfect that I don’t think I’ll allow fate to let me wait another year for Morning Star. Amazing!!
