I didn't like this one as much as #1 but Ross and Demelza's intimacy is beautifully written. It saturates the entire book, especially their scenes together, and I haven't ever read a more realistic depiction of a marriage.
It is very similar to the show, and the show uses quite a few verbatim lines from it but I missed the "Pray to God I do not lose the love of my life" scene that the book doesn't have.
CONTENT: Really clean book - only a few d**ns, some mild kissing scenes, and a couple vague references about couples having sex.
