How To Know a Person: The Art of Seeing Others Deeply and Being Deeply Seen by David Brooks, David Brooks

5.0

One of my mentors suggested David Brooks' How to Know a Person, and I'm so glad that I took his suggestion. Brooks has an amazing ability to draw you in and connect with you through this book. I really appreciate his bringing awareness to individuals who are illuminators; those people who have a knack to bring out the best in others. I encourage readers to invest in the knowledge of this book as it highlights the importance of human connections at a time where we are so divided and disconnected. Reading his book, I believe, will change how you view your conversations, might slow you to pause before responding, open your mind for understanding outside of yourself, and challenge you use language that elicits the depth others possess.
