I know this book has had mixed reviews and some were disappointed because they expected something different from Anna Quindlen. My own feelings about the book were mixed - it felt like an average ‘Manhattanite moves to the middle of nowhere to find herself’ to begin with but I got completely invested in the story as it went along. The writing was engaging overall, and I enjoyed the ‘that came later’ device.
