Controlling Women: What We Must Do Now to Save Reproductive Freedom by Kathryn Kolbert, Julie F. Kay

challenging hopeful informative inspiring reflective slow-paced

5.0

The most informative coverage of the history of the fight for abortion rights in the United States and a look into the future expanded fight for Reproductive Justice, in a context where the overturning of Roe was eminent, that I have ever read. I appreciated the perspective and detailed history of the legal landscape that abortion rights have followed in United States with added perspective into other successful global perspectives for abortion rights in other countries. It did make me a bit concerned about the way that the Supreme Court as it stands now has the ability to erase any forward progress for rights that we’ve gained in the United States, but it also gave a fresh perspective of how we could move forward in our fight for human rights in the United States.
