I enjoyed this read/listen. It’s a slow burn (VERY) as far as the “love story” aspect - really in terms of the entire story. I would have loved for the world to be a bit more fleshed out, but I think the second book may cover that as this first one entailed the main character’s first exposure to the world outside of the monastery where she grew up. Either way, it was entertaining and I enjoyed it for what it was.
