The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan
3.0
Dylan's review: "Good." He liked the part where they defeated Midas. And we both thought that Festus the dragon was pretty awesome. Although he was a little irritated to find that they were gearing up for a new adventure at the end and we would have to read the next book to find out more about it.
I honestly would have enjoyed this book more if it were a little shorter. It was more than 550 pages, so it was a slow read for Dylan and I, since we read 10-15 pages a night. The basic premise is that the Greek and Roman gods are real, and their children semi-mortal children gather at Camp Half-Blood, where they live in cabins with their other half-brothers and sisters and go on adventures and quests, etc. I wasn't able to suspend my disbelief as easily as Dylan, but I did like the main characters.
