Working Stiff by Blair Babylon
5.0
There are so many potential clichés in this book that I full expected to give myself a migraine from the amount of eye rolling it was likely to induce. Somehow, however, Blair Babylon has taken all of those clichés and has woven them together into a book that really works! What I loved most about the book is the chemistry between Rox and Cash. They are, first and foremost, friends. And, thankfully, the fact that they have both been hurt before and are, therefore, worried that they will be hurt again is not a motif that dragged on and on as sometimes happens in romance novels (occasionally for multiple books in a series), which annoys me to no end. Both Cash and Rox are keeping secrets from the other, but, as the story progresses, those secrets come out and they are able to get their HEA. I really want to know more about Cash's boyhood friends, and I hope that more books are in the works where Maxence and Arthur get their own HEAs and have plenty of kittens to socialize. I also want to get to know Cash's sister, Anastasia, better. Great book, recommended for 18+.
