Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories From the Twenty-first Century by Alice Wong

emotional reflective slow-paced

4.5

This read holds so much meaning for me. All four parts - being, becoming, belonging, and connecting - resonated with me. In my personal experience, I was moved by the community and sense of belonging I felt in these pages. Not every essay held my attention, but every essay was important. Please read this book whether you are able-bodied, disabled, or somewhere in between. It is well worth it.
