Damn. This book is magnificent. The long run time flew by, and I kept thinking to myself, one more chapter. One more chapter. I love these characters, especially Neema, but everyone contributes something very special to this story. The plot is well paced, and every time I felt like I had a handle on what was going on, a new piece of information would reveal itself that threw it all off kilter again. There are moments where I had to put it down for a moment and just stare before I inevitably threw myself back into it. I'm so excited by this book and look forward to seeing where the story goes in the sequel (please be soon).
Moderate: Body horror, Violence, Vomit, War
Minor: Sexual content, Suicide, Police brutality
