I have such mixed feelings about this book. The writing style is beautiful - I highlighted so many paragraphs because Cusk's way of describing emotions and people's internal monologues is really stunning - but not a ton happens, and it's not totally clear to me what the point of the book is. The characters all sort of blur together at times, and the central conflict doesn't really seem like a conflict. I don't really know how to feel about this book, which is how I landed on three stars ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
