A cute little story. Mysterious and intriguing. You can tell this is an early work of Schwab's as it certainly does not live up to her other books, but it's still an interesting read.

I would have liked more of a twist and it was fairly slow until about halfway and the final confrontation was very quick - which is typical for a VE Schwab book, but I think because the characters weren't quite as well-developed it was a little more difficult to stay engaged for that first half.

Not bad, but I probably would recommend several of Schwab's other books before this one.
