I was so excited to dig into this book, and I’m so glad I finally got my hands on it. It was awesome to get to see more of the story, see familiar faces and get to know some of the characters from a different more intimate perspective. But honestly? I wanted more.
The intensity of the first book seemed missing here. There were great MOMENTS and some major twists that had me really excited. But I wanted more of a ride from this book vs. just a few sharp turns.
I have several more books from McManus on my shelf and I can’t wait to dig into them all.
