I wanted to love this book. I'm 46 and have decided to take a break from working for a bit so I thought I would reengage with this material as I think about how I want to spend the second half of my life. I've read The Artist's Way and enjoyed it very much. When I first picked up this book, I thought it was different enough from the first book to make it worthwhile - there are plenty exercises designed to help you recover early memories and to make meaning out of one's experiences. However, as I moved along, it really felt like it was written for someone who is much older than midlife and at about week six, I just couldn't take any more. If you haven't read The Artist's Way, I'd give this 4 or 5 stars, otherwise 3 at best.
