Did not finish book. Stopped at 79%.

Where do I begin? <br/><br/>I saw this on "booktok" with people reccomending this along with other books I enjoyed. I finally got my loan from the library for the audiobook and was so excited. <br/><br/>10/10 for the audio book narrator <br/><br/>79% DNF<br/><br/>The book started out in a wya that had me thinking "yep. There's regular cristi and vacation cristi", causing me to remember how much more open to strangers I am on vacation. <br/><br/>Then....the book just crashed. I kept saying to myself this can't be the same book that so many are raving about ?<br/><br/>Poppy was quirky and at first I liked her, but then she became as annoying as a 13 year old teen with a crush. She treats Alex like crap. They are allegedly best friends. Alex, this very intelligent man is just made out to be dumber than a box of rocks. I am so confused. I understand everyone who is book smart isn't always "street smart" but this was excessive. <br/><br/>If I had to hear one more time about how her and her friend Rachel are influencers I was going to barf. I got it the first time and can appreciate a second reminder incase the reader forgets who Rachel is since she isn't a "main" character. But I swear it was mentioned 10,000 times. <br/><br/><br/>I felt this book could have ended 3x already and I didn't even finish it. I really hate DNF so far into a book but my brain hurts.
