An Honored Vow
by Melissa Blair
fast-paced
This book was a fantastical end to the series with lots of ups and downs. There were moments, reveals, and twists that I enjoyed, but this book followed the same pattern as the last book. While the book is magical fantasy, it was hard for me to suspend disbelief when the book followed the same pattern of "oh no! We have a never-seen-before, insurmountable challenge facing us! PSYCH! A solution dropped into our laps completely out of accident that specifically solves this problem." And then repeat formula 3-5 times throughout book. Also - the main character never suffers the consequences of doing her own secret things while constantly telling others to stop keeping secrets... I did appreciate tying up loose ends, though.
