About 50 pages in, I almost DNF’d this book. But curiosity got the best of me, and I’m so glad I stuck with it. The main character can be so frustrating at times, but she grows on you, and I found myself really empathizing with her. She deeply loves her husband—who, to be honest, irritated me for most of the book.
The plot is strong, exploring the consequences of the two choices the FMC could make. It’s a reminder of how unpredictable life is and how a single decision can change everything in the worst way. This book made me uncomfortable because of how real it felt, and I know it’s going to stay with me for a long time.
