Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness
by Susannah Cahalan
This was a really interesting story of a young journalist's brief descent into "madness." I thought the story was well researched and organized, as the author commented early on that she had very little personal recall of certain events and had to rely on doctor's notes and interviews with family members and friends to fill in the blanks. Her descriptions of what she and her family thought was happening to her versus what really was going on were really interesting. I would recommend this book for anyone who has special interest in mental health issues and "medical mysteries."
