A Simple Favor
by Darcey Bell
This book is a mess. I'm honestly being kind by giving it two stars. I cant beliebe i finished the whole thing. Obviously an attempt was made to make it very dark and twisted. Somehow it just didn't work and other things didn't add up. Stephanie cares deeply about Emily yet in one of her blogs she starts talking about what to do with Emily's clothes because she can't fit in them. It seems a very shallow and stupid thing to do on an apparently popular blog.
It's kind of a cheap version of Gone Girl. I mean close to the end it's pretty obvious where the writer got her inspiration from.
The story is told from three perspectives. Sean's is the least interesting, we don't really get an idea of him or his thoughts or feelings except for the problem he's dealing with.
There's a lot that didn't work for me.
