Thoughts:
This story was so sweet, I loved seeing the FMC come into her own and discover herself. I loved Rebecca’s exploration of a main character with a chronic illness and how Paisley stood true to her own character. Was it my favourite book by her? No. But I do love the way she writes her military romance novels.
Best Bits:
“She was enchanting. Enchanting? Just start spouting poetry and shit while you’re at it.”
His tounge piercing 🥵
“The best things are worth the burn, the risk, and there’s nothing better than you Paisley Donovan.”
“For once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.”
“He kissed me and my heart took flight.”
