The Woman Warrior: Memoirs of a Girlhood Among Ghosts by Maxine Hong Kingston

Not bad though I just couldn't get that into it. I could see how when it came out it was very significant because I am not sure there were many books about Chinese/Americans and their experiences at the time this book was published. At this point in my life I have read a fair number of books about growing up in America with an Asian background/immigrant family so this book was 'more of the same' for me. I really enjoyed how she tied in the Chinese folk stories to her life. It's a good book to help readers understand how others from different backgrounds felt, etc.
