I am not American nor am I a fan of that country but regardless, I was offended on their behalf. American children were blowing eachother up whilst Chinese children were extremely peaceful and intelligent. I also refuse to believe that Cixin Liu has ever seen a child let alone been one. I found myself disagreeing with the likelihood of everything that happened which would have been fine since it’s fiction but the patriotic undertones combined with the robotic children made it unreadable. I hope that a lot of this story was lost in translation because how on earth did it even get published?
