The Great Shark Hunt: Strange Tales from a Strange Time by Hunter S. Thompson

4.0

A successful collection of Thompson's more undefinable writings. It drags a little bit (the Watergate section took me a while to get through, ditto the collection of his early '60s work) but all in all, it was a rewarding read. Find a strange place to read it — I read the lion's share in a stateroom of the Badger, a coal-fired steamer, as it crossed Lake Michigan.
