Winnie-The-Pooh
by A.A. Milne
5 stars.
I watched The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh so many times as a child that I’m fairly certain I could recite the whole thing from memory. As such, I think I ended up convincing myself that I had also read the book, which I don’t think I did.
So I was very excited when my Patrons chose this for my March read- I could finally read the source material for some of my favorite childhood memories! And I’m happy to say it didn’t disappoint. Winnie the Pooh is a delightful blend of wit, cuteness, and nonsense (of the best sort). I found myself giggling out loud quite a few times and it felt like I was wrapped in a warm blanket every time I opened up the pages.
Definitely up there with my favorite children’s books and I can see myself developing a little collection of different versions over the years. For a Bear of Very Little Brain, Pooh sure has a Big heart :)
