A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway

4.0

I've come to appreciate Hemingway more as I've grown older but simply can't shake the feeling that he was probably kind of a jerk, which for me seeps into all of his work. If I am being honest this is really a 3-star, but is lifted to four because of moments of gleaming prose like this:

"With so many trees in the city, you would see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it in suddenly one morning. Sometimes the cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life."
