I enjoy listening to the narrator, his voice is calm and soothing. Too soothing. I find I am not actually listening to the words. He really only has 2 voices- the dim wit and the high born. The women are just one of those 2 as well.
I hated the timelines!! Perhaps it would have been easier to follow in print format. Going back and forth took away from the story and me being able to immerse myself in it. Every time ‘four years earlier’ was announced- I wondered if it was four years earlier than the last 4 years earlier? Ie- 8 years earlier? But no, it wasn’t. And Katherine’s journal entries had dates. No dates are mentioned elsewhere, so nearly impossible to tell when her story is taking place. It was frustrating
It has been a long time since reading Prince of Thorns, so it made this read more difficult. I only know a few characters by name. I just accepted that I didn’t know who the author was talking about.
I finished this yesterday and I don’t even remember how it ended
