I read this book in a weekend, and enjoyed it for what it was. (I think I already had put most of the pieces of the story together by about a quarter of the way through, but the storytelling was dynamic enough for me to want to continue.) I loved the world building and compelling visuals, and the magic system was interesting. A fantastical twist on a myth with genuinely sweet protagonists. I look forward to reading the sequel.
