Ask the Passengers
by A.S. King
I enjoyed reading this book. Astrid found a great outlet to her personal struggles. I like the idea that she is pretending to talk to the passengers on the planes that fly above her. The common theme of coming of age is of course touched on but the most impressive thing is the way A.S. King dealt with the issue of LGBTQ. Astrid deals with her confusion of her sexuality in a nondestructive manner, given the state of the rest of her family. I really like her as a character and I really enjoyed this book.
