This book contains some hard truths about the relationship between human beings who embrace capitalism and ever-ending, unchecked progress and the rest of everything on this beautiful earth. For this reason, it is a difficult read. In a way, its brutal honesty is hopeful, and in others, I felt such despair that I had to skip over parts.

I am sure I will come back to this, though, again to soak in its truth and beauty.
