"The Daemon Lover" is crazy and kinda sad and pathetic... like I feel bad for this narrator but at the same time it's like girl he doesn’t want you!! The narrator is chasing after a man the entire short after he abandons her on the day they are going to get married. I love the themes of society placing American domestic ideals of family on women and the narrator just spiraling endlessly going after "Jamie," even though he has heartlessly abandoned her. The characters the narrator interacts with while on her journey to find "Jamie" is so unsettling because you know they deem her with contempt. Like haha let's laugh at the 30 yr old lady who has been abandoned by her man. Let's laugh we watch her pathetically chase after him. Isn't it hilarious how crazy SHE looks? Not one character treats her with sympathy :( honestly I think I love this short just as much as the lottery!!
