Cutters vs. Jocks
by Elizabeth Marx
I was lost a bit with this book found myself skimming it a lot.
Firstly whenever i read the word cutter i thought of someone slashing at their skin, not someone from Indiana (not the writers fault admittedly as i am British and never heard that name before we associate a cutter as a self harmer not someone from Indiana so i just couldn't get past the phrase used so often). Also a huge prejudice i don't understand if they are good enough to go to college in Indianna why put down the locals?
The way the college students spoke and interacted was just weird i felt i was reading conversations between 40 somethings. And i just thought Elizabeth came across as a tease, and Aiden after so long what i could make out still had a girlfriend he didn't seem to care much for not giving me any reason for me to like him or care about Aiden or Elizabeth working out as a couple, i felt sorry for his girlfriend who they both knew about. I also don't see which part made them fall in love he stalked her she avoided him??? Help anyone.
The ending was heart wrenching why it got two stars instead of one, but that was its only redeeming quality for me.
