Did not finish book.

This is apparently a sci-fi detective story, but there is no hook! The prologue is bland conversations about a missing murder filled with description after description of the pub and the surrounding area. Alas, I kept going; I added this to my read list because i found it recommended somewhere...but 4 pages into chapter 1, we were still getting descriptions of the surrounding train platform. I can't do it. Boring.
