The New Boy by Sean Michael

3.0

There were both good and not-so-good things about this book for me. It was sensual and sexy, as I’ve come to expect from most Sean Michael books.

My personal issue with this one was that it felt like Tide, the Dom, was steamrolling Lance from the moment they met. Here’s a guy who’s shy, inexperienced, insecure, and Tide was all over him, basically not taking no for an answer, more or less pushing him into things that he ended up enjoying, but it was dubious consent at best to me. It seemed so out of character for a shy virgin to be willing to not only jump in the sack with a guy he’d JUST met, but then have sex in front of others and go bareback, all within a week or so.

So that took away from my enjoyment, but it was still a fun read aside from that.
