A fantastic ending to an amazing epic fantasy trilogy. There were some slow areas in the middle but even those had very interesting elements so were not a slog to get through at all. I was invested in the outcome of every single character and that is rare for me.
Almost all of your nagging questions about the lord ruler, the hero of Ages, the mists, the ashfall, and all the events of the past that led up to them are finally answered. I really appreciated how well laid out the plot was that you realize at the end how much easter eggs clues were provided all along that you didn’t notice.
Also, I have to say my favorite characters were TenSoon and Sazed, and they did not disappoint me in this book either. Sazed really struggled with his faith through this book, but I loved the ending for him. I think it was very appropriate for his character arc. And TenSoon pleasantly surprised me with his merit. The character growth for all the main characters was really well written.
