It was a sweet story of a young desi queer girl and I loved that part, about being queer and being Bengali, and the journey of the parents with Nishat's coming out felt true to some extent. I don't truly know how many desi parents would let their queer child be, but I'm hopeful it's more than what I know. I saw the twist about how things got out coming, but that was okay. I did feel like the coming out was forgiven way too fast, but that's just me.
It was cute and I want more, more desi queer representation.
