This had all of the great meandering non-formulaic storytelling of the previous book, and all of the great world building. Through most of this book I was expecting it to be a 4, but the ending brought it down a notch. The ending was very Piers Anthony and I don't mean that as a complement. I'm still very high on this author, and have since read another of his novels that I liked better.
